Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supported Living Manager to lead the launch and development of a brand-new supported living service for adults with enduring mental health needs. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role offering the chance to shape a service from the ground up, embedding high-quality, person-centred care and strong operational foundations.
The service is designed to promote independence, recovery, and community integration, supporting individuals to live safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives within their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup, development, and day-to-day operational management of the supported living service
- Maintain full accountability for care quality, compliance, and regulatory standards, including CQC requirements
- Oversee audits and compliance checks covering medication management, health & safety, care planning, COSHH, and food safety
- Develop and implement efficient systems and working practices to ensure both high standards of care and cost effectiveness
- Recruit, train, supervise, appraise, and retain a skilled and motivated support staff team
- Ensure all staff complete mandatory training and remain competent to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Coordinate staff rotas effectively to ensure safe and consistent service delivery
- Monitor the day-to-day care of service users and oversee regular reviews and outcomes planning
- Ensure medication is administered safely, correctly, and reviewed at appropriate intervals by medical professionals
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within supported living or domiciliary care services
- Strong background in managing services supporting adults with mental health needs
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, Key Lines of Enquiry, and inspection processes
- Demonstrable experience leading teams, managing performance, and applying HR processes
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and incident reporting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH regulations
- Desirable: RQF Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care
Pay & Benefits:
