Salary
£30,000 – £35,230 per annum term-time only, dependent on experience. Equivalent to approximately £34,000 – £40,000 whole-time equivalent (+ benefits)

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full-time permanent position working across a term-time only structure. This is a multi-site role combining schools, clinic, and community work across East London and Kent, so candidates should be comfortable travelling between settings including Greenwich, Gravesend, Gillingham, Stratford clinic base, and community visits within surrounding areas. Working hours are primarily weekday daytime hours with flexibility depending on caseload requirements and travel between settings.
Job Description
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will work across a varied and rewarding multi-setting caseload including mainstream primary school-based therapy, Stratford clinic work, and community visits across East London and Kent. The clinic and community caseload can include paediatric clients, adult clients, or a mixed caseload depending on preference. This role offers an excellent opportunity for therapists who enjoy variety, flexibility, multidisciplinary collaboration, and broader clinical exposure within a supportive private therapy setting. The service places strong emphasis on therapist wellbeing, structured supervision, peer support, clinical development, and long-term progression, making this an ideal opportunity for Band 5 or Band 6 equivalent SLTs, school-based therapists, agency therapists seeking stability, or clinicians looking for a better work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver speech and language therapy interventions across mainstream schools, clinic, and community settings
- Manage a varied paediatric and/or adult caseload depending on experience and preference
- Complete assessments, therapy planning, reviews, and clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Support children and young people within mainstream educational settings
- Provide therapy support for communication, language, speech, and social interaction needs
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC and professional standards
- Participate in supervision, CPD sessions, and peer support activities
- Travel between Greenwich, Gravesend, Gillingham, Stratford clinic base, and community clients as required
- Build positive therapeutic relationships with clients, families, schools, and education staff
Requirements
- No sponsorship available for this role. Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK.
- HCPC registration required
- 6 months experience minimum as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Interest in school-based, clinic, and community speech and language therapy services
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and therapy planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with clients, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently across varied clinical and educational settings
