Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- Part-time hours, typically 2–4 days per week (to be agreed)
- Daytime shifts with the option of occasional early evening clinics to support patient demand
- No night shifts and very limited weekend working, if any

- Some flexibility in start and finish times to support work–life balance and family commitments
- Scope to increase or adjust hours as the service develops and your caseload grows
Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist / Women’s Health Physiotherapist to join a progressive private physiotherapy and wellness service in Sheffield (S11). As a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist pelvic health assessment and treatment for a varied caseload, working in a calm, supportive, and patient-centred environment. The physiotherapy and wellness setting is modern, friendly, and clinically driven, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice, collaborative working, and whole-person care. This Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist role would suit a confident, compassionate pelvic health specialist who enjoys building long-term therapeutic relationships, shaping services, and making a meaningful difference to people’s lives. This role is open to Band 5, Band 6 and lower Band 7 clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pelvic health assessments, including detailed subjective histories and objective examinations, for a range of pelvic floor and continence conditions.
- Develop, deliver, and review individualised, evidence-based treatment plans, combining manual therapy, exercise, education, and lifestyle advice.
- Support people through key life stages such as pregnancy, postnatal recovery, menopause, and pelvic surgery rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with other physiotherapists and allied professionals to ensure joined-up, holistic care across musculoskeletal and wellness services.
- Use clear, empathetic communication to educate patients about their condition, treatment options, self-management, and long-term pelvic health.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and contribute to audit, outcome measures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to service development, including shaping pelvic health pathways, group classes, workshops, and community education where appropriate.
- Act as a clinical resource for colleagues, offering guidance, informal training, and mentoring in pelvic health practice.
- Uphold high standards of confidentiality, safeguarding, infection prevention, and professional conduct at all times.
- Actively promote the service within the local community and support ethical, patient-focused growth of the clinic.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent, with current HCPC registration and relevant professional body membership.
- No sponsorship available for this role - you must have the permanent right to work within the UK
- Significant post-graduate experience as a Physiotherapist, including dedicated pelvic health/women’s health clinical practice.
- Post-graduate training in pelvic health (for example pelvic floor rehabilitation, obstetric and gynaecological physiotherapy, continence, or related courses).
- Confident in assessing and managing conditions such as pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, and pre/postnatal issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, reassuring approach to sensitive and personal topics.
- Comfortable working within a private, self-pay environment with a strong focus on patient experience and outcomes.
- Organised and proactive, able to manage your own caseload and adapt to a varied clinical day.
- Commitment to ongoing CPD and keeping up to date with best practice in pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
- Suitable for: senior pelvic health physiotherapist, women’s health physiotherapist, pelvic floor physiotherapist, specialist physiotherapist, MSK and pelvic health physio.
- Ability to commute reliably to Sheffield (S11) for your agreed working pattern.
