Job Description
This Room Leader role is based within a well-established preschool nursery environment that places strong emphasis on high-quality care, child development, and positive relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the preschool room on a day-to-day basis
- Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities
- Supervise, mentor, and support room staff within the nursery
- Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are upheld
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and records
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Promote inclusive practice and positive behaviour management
- Work collaboratively with the wider team and leadership
Requirements
- Up to date and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
- Previous experience working as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- Passionate about early childhood development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Organised, reliable, and proactive approach
- Suitable for a Preschool Room Leader, Early Years Room Leader, or Senior Early Years Educator, Nursery Room Leader
