Job Description
This permanent Podiatrist position is based in a well-established private clinical setting in Worcester (WR2), providing dedicated foot and lower-limb care to a loyal and growing patient base. As a Podiatrist, you will join a friendly, professional team who are committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care in a calm, welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide thorough podiatry assessments, diagnosis and treatment for a varied caseload, including routine care, MSK presentations and high-risk feet.
- Deliver high-quality diabetic foot assessments, ongoing monitoring and preventative care in line with current guidelines.
- Carry out minor procedures such as nail surgery, following agreed clinical protocols and ensuring safe, comfortable patient experiences.
- Develop and review individualised treatment plans, explaining options clearly and supporting patients to make informed decisions.
- Maintain accurate, timely and detailed clinical records that meet professional and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth clinic flow, excellent communication and a professional front-of-house experience.
- Provide clear advice on self-care, footwear and preventative strategies to support long-term foot health.
- Contribute to service development, quality assurance and audit activities where needed.
- Uphold infection prevention and control measures at all times within the clinic environment.
- Represent the service positively, helping to build its reputation for specialist podiatry care within the local community.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) Podiatry (or equivalent) and current HCPC registration.
- Proven experience working as a Podiatrist, ideally within a private, community or outpatient clinic setting.
- Confidence managing a mixed caseload, including routine care, MSK issues and higher-risk patients such as those with diabetes.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm, reassuring and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently within a structured clinic schedule, while contributing positively to the wider team.
- Good IT and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and professional standards.
