Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full Time | Permanent
Clinic based in Walthamstow, Greater London, E17
- 37.5 hours per week
- Wednesday to Friday: 11:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Monday and Tuesday are non-working days
- Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary allied health team
Job Description
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist paediatric occupational therapy services within a dedicated clinic supporting children and young people with autism, sensory, developmental, emotional and educational needs. Working from a welcoming clinic in Walthamstow, Greater London, E17, you will carry out comprehensive occupational therapy and sensory integration assessments, develop evidence-based intervention programmes and work closely with families, schools and fellow clinicians to help children achieve meaningful outcomes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise within paediatric occupational therapy, allied health and private healthcare while benefiting from structured clinical support, mentoring and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one paediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions
- Complete comprehensive functional, sensory and sensory integration assessments
- Produce clear, evidence-based clinical reports and recommendations
- Develop individualised therapy programmes tailored to each child's needs
- Manage an independent paediatric caseload effectively
- Work collaboratively with Speech and Language Therapists and other multidisciplinary professionals
- Provide guidance and practical strategies to families and educational settings
- Maintain accurate clinical records and professional documentation
- Contribute to service development, audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Work in accordance with HCPC standards, safeguarding responsibilities and professional best practice
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for eligible HCPC-registered candidates.
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum one year's post-qualified Occupational Therapy experience.
- Experience supporting autistic children and young people with sensory, developmental or neurodevelopmental needs.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills with families, schools and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Able to manage an independent caseload whilst working collaboratively within a supportive team.
