Job Description
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will support the daily running of a nursery setting in Lightwater, Surrey GU18, delivering high-quality childcare and EYFS learning experiences within a warm and engaging early years environment.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced childcare professional with a background in Nursery (EYFS) who enjoys creating positive learning experiences and supporting children’s confidence, wellbeing, and development.
Within this nurseries & early years setting, you will contribute to a child-focused nursery environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, independence, and strong relationships with families. Children are encouraged to learn through exploration, imaginative play, outdoor experiences, and engaging early years activities designed to support every stage of development.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day leadership and organisation of the nursery room environment
- Deliver engaging EYFS-based activities and learning experiences
- Create a safe, caring, and stimulating childcare environment
- Support children’s learning, development, wellbeing, and independence
- Maintain safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare standards
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
- Support observations, assessments, records, and nursery documentation
- Work collaboratively with the wider nursery and childcare team
- Promote inclusive, child-centred learning experiences
- Support high standards of care, communication, and professional practice
Requirements
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
- Relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised within EYFS requirements
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years childcare setting
- Background in Nursery (EYFS) and childcare learning environments
- Ability to support safeguarding, child development, and nursery operations
- Warm, caring, and professional communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently while supporting the wider nursery team
