Job Description
As a Nursery Quality Lead (EYFS), you will support and promote high-quality practice within a Montessori nursery and EYFS childcare setting in Wembley, HA9. This opportunity would suit an experienced Quality Lead, Senior Room Leader, Lead Practitioner, Nursery Quality Manager, Early Years Quality Lead, or senior nursery leadership professional with experience supporting nursery standards, learning environments, staff development, safeguarding, and childcare quality across early years settings.
Working within a nurturing and child-focused nursery environment, you will help maintain excellent standards across learning, wellbeing, safeguarding, curriculum delivery, nursery compliance, staff practice, and family engagement. The nursery promotes confidence, independence, curiosity, creativity, and positive child development through Montessori-inspired learning and supportive early years practice.
The setting offers a warm, inclusive, and engaging childcare environment with a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing, professional development, outdoor learning, creativity, and building positive partnerships with families and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain high-quality standards across nursery practice and learning environments
- Promote excellent EYFS and Montessori childcare provision throughout the nursery
- Support nursery leadership, staff development, mentoring, guidance, and best practice standards
- Monitor observations, assessment quality, and learning framework updates
- Help ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery compliance standards are consistently maintained
- Support quality improvement initiatives and continuous development across nursery teams
- Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and nursery leadership
- Contribute to inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environments for children
- Maintain professional documentation and support operational standards across the setting
- Support child-centred learning, wellbeing, development, and positive nursery experiences
Requirements
- Sponsorship / right to work: Right to work in the UK required
- Qualification: Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification preferred
- Experience level: Previous experience within a Quality Lead, Senior Room Leader, Lead Practitioner, Nursery Manager, or senior nursery leadership role beneficial
- Specialism: EYFS experience required, with Montessori experience advantageous
- Capability: Able to support nursery quality standards, learning environments, staff development, safeguarding, and childcare practice
- Soft skill: Professional, organised, supportive, approachable, and confident communicator
- Independence: Able to work proactively while supporting nursery teams and maintaining high standards
