Working Hours & Shift Pattern

- Monday to Friday with no evening or weekend work

- Support babies' feeding, sleeping, care and learning routines throughout the day
Job Description
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will provide safe, responsive and nurturing care within the Baby Room of a newly established, purpose-built nursery in Bracknell, Berkshire, RG42. The setting is at an exciting stage of growth and offers the opportunity to contribute ideas, help shape practice and support the continued development of the Baby Room. The room supports babies and children under two in a calm environment designed around comfort, security and individual routines. You will act as a key person, build trusted relationships with children and families, and plan engaging experiences in line with the EYFS. The nursery promotes personalised care, curiosity-led learning and a child-centred approach within well-equipped indoor and outdoor learning spaces.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, nurturing and responsive childcare for babies and children under two
- Act as a key person for an allocated group of children
- Plan and deliver engaging EYFS learning experiences
- Complete observations, assessments and development records
- Support feeding, sleeping, bottle preparation and daily care routines
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating Baby Room
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Work collaboratively with the Baby Room Leader and wider nursery team
- Support children's development through responsive, child-centred practice
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene and nursery policies
Requirements

- Qualification: a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Experience level: previous nursery or early years experience
- Specialism: experience with babies or children under two is highly desirable
- Capability: good knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
- Soft skill: caring, patient and dependable with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Independence: able to manage key-person responsibilities while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
