Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours per week
Based in Harrow, Greater London (HA2)
- Shift pattern between 7:30am and 6:00pm.
- Monday to Friday working.
- 51-week nursery operation with closure on Bank Holidays and over Christmas.
- Work within a busy Montessori nursery caring for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Job Description
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will become part of a welcoming Montessori nursery and Early Years setting in Harrow, Greater London (HA2), supporting children aged 6 months to 5 years within a carefully prepared learning environment. Working within the nurseries & early years sector, you will help deliver high-quality childcare by combining Montessori principles with the Early Years Foundation Stage to promote confidence, independence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner looking to build a rewarding childcare career within a supportive Montessori environment in North West London. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child receives nurturing, engaging and developmentally appropriate experiences in a safe and stimulating environment with excellent outdoor learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through high-quality childcare.
- Deliver engaging Montessori and EYFS learning experiences.
- Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Observe, monitor and record children's progress.
- Promote children's independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
- Contribute to indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
- Support daily routines, care needs and positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive nursery team.
Requirements
- You must already have the permanent right to work in the UK.
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
- Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or within an Early Years setting.
- Knowledge or experience of Montessori practice is desirable.
- Ability to deliver high-quality childcare whilst supporting children's individual development.
- Excellent communication skills with a caring, positive and professional approach.
- Able to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team.
- Also suitable for: Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Nurse, Childcare Practitioner, Montessori Practitioner, EYFS Practitioner.
