Job Description
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will join a supportive nursery setting in Leytonstone, Greater London (E11), helping children aged 0–5 years feel safe, happy, supported, and encouraged to learn through exploration and play. This opportunity sits within the nurseries & early years sector and is ideal for a Level 3 qualified childcare professional who is passionate about EYFS, child development, and creating positive early learning experiences.
The nursery offers a warm, home-from-home environment with bright playrooms, age-appropriate resources, and outdoor learning areas designed to support children’s confidence, creativity, communication, physical development, and social skills. You will work as part of a relationship-driven team, supporting planned EYFS activities, building strong family partnerships, and contributing to a safe, stimulating, and caring childcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years
- Deliver high-quality EYFS practice across the nursery day
- Support learning through exploration, play, and carefully planned activities
- Create a safe, welcoming, stimulating, and child-focused nursery environment
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
- Support children’s individual development, confidence, communication, and early learning
- Promote safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing at all times
- Maintain accurate observations, records, and relevant nursery documentation
- Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to uphold high standards of childcare
- Contribute to daily routines, outdoor play, creative activities, and positive family partnerships
Requirements
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
- Level 3 Nursery Practitioner qualification, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent childcare qualification
- Previous nursery or early years experience
- Experience working within EYFS and nursery childcare environments
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, EYFS practice, and early learning
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive nursery team
