Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full-time permanent Nursery Practitioner position
Based in Wembley, Greater London, HA9, North West London
- Nursery opening hours are 7:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Full-time nursery operating 51 weeks per year
- Closed for bank holidays and one week at Christmas
- Weekly non-contact time provided for observations and framework updates
- Nursery-based role within a Montessori and EYFS childcare setting
Job Description
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support children within a Montessori nursery and EYFS childcare setting in Wembley, HA9.The nursery provides a secure, inspiring, and nurturing learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
You will play an important role in supporting children’s daily care, learning, wellbeing, and development through thoughtful interactions, engaging activities, outdoor learning, creative play, and positive relationships with families and colleagues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or Nursery Nurse who enjoys working in childcare and wants to join a setting where quality early years education and child-centred practice are central to the nursery day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning, development, wellbeing, and daily care within the nursery
- Deliver EYFS-based activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence
- Promote Montessori-inspired learning and child-led development throughout the nursery day
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating childcare environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational development
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to indoor learning, outdoor play, creative activities, and nursery routines
- Complete observations and support children’s learning framework updates during non-contact time
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional early years standards
Requirements
- Sponsorship / right to work: Right to work in the UK required
- Qualification: Level 3 or relevant Early Years qualification preferred
- Experience level: Previous experience within a nursery, preschool, early years, or childcare setting beneficial
- Specialism: EYFS experience required, with Montessori experience advantageous
- Capability: Able to support children’s care, learning, wellbeing, observations, and development
- Soft skill: Warm, reliable, caring, and confident communicator
- Independence: Able to work professionally as part of a nursery team while using initiative
