Working Hours & Shift Pattern
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week. The setting can accommodate 4 long days across the week. Shifts are worked within the nursery’s operating hours, with regular breaks included. Flexibility may be discussed depending on the needs of the service.
Job Description
As a level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment within a Nursery setting based in Lincoln (LN6) where children can learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships. You’ll support children across their early years journey, contributing to their development in line with the EYFS, while building strong partnerships with families and colleagues. This role suits someone who brings warmth, enthusiasm, and confidence, and who thrives in a setting that values quality care, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development through purposeful play and planned activities
- Deliver high-quality care in line with EYFS requirements and the setting’s policies
- Build positive, secure relationships with children to support wellbeing and independence
- Observe, assess, and record progress to contribute to learning journeys and next steps
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a consistent and nurturing approach
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery hygiene practices
- Support daily routines including mealtimes, outdoor play, and personal care where required
- Contribute to creating an enabling environment that is stimulating, inclusive, and well organised
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Experience working in a nursery, childcare, or early years setting
- The right to work within the UK (no sponsorship required)
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach with a passion for early years education
- Strong communication skills and confidence working as part of a team
- Ability to plan engaging activities and support learning through play
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
