Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. No weekend work required. Standard daytime shifts with flexibility depending on nursery needs.
Job Description
As a Nursery Manager, you will lead a well-established nursery setting in Wood Green, Greater London (N10), ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to shape a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, while also supporting and developing a dedicated team of early years professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery setting
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted and EYFS standards at all times
- Support, mentor, and develop nursery staff to achieve high performance
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children
- Oversee planning and delivery of high-quality early years education
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Manage staff rotas, recruitment, and performance reviews
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance across the nursery
- Promote the nursery’s values and maintain a positive reputation within the community
Requirements
- No sponsorship available – must have the permanent right to work in the UK
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
- Proven experience in a Nursery Manager or senior leadership role
- Strong understanding of early years frameworks and childcare standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a child-centred approach
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of nursery performance
