Salary
£30,000 – £35,230 per annum (term-time only, dependent on experience) + benefits
Equivalent to approximately £34,000 – £40,000 whole-time equivalent.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- Full-time permanent role working within a term-time only structure
- Multi-site role across schools, clinic, and community settings throughout East London
- 2 days mainstream primary and secondary school-based therapy
- 1 day working within an SEN school in Whitechapel
- 2 days Stratford clinic and community-based therapy work
- Clinic and community caseloads may include paediatric, adult, or mixed caseloads depending on therapist preference
- Primarily weekday daytime hours with flexibility depending on caseload and travel requirements
Job Description
As a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, you will join a welcoming and highly supportive East London service delivering therapy across mainstream schools, SEN settings, Stratford clinic services, and community environments throughout East London (E15). This role is designed to provide newly qualified and developing SLTs with broad clinical exposure, structured supervision, and varied experience across education and healthcare settings. The role offers an excellent balance of independence and support, helping therapists build confidence across assessments, therapy planning, communication support, and multidisciplinary working while developing strong foundations for long-term clinical progression. This is a multi-site role across mainstream schools, SEN, clinic, and community settings, so candidates should feel comfortable travelling between locations throughout the working week.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver speech and language therapy interventions across mainstream schools, SEN settings, clinic, and community environments
- Support paediatric and/or adult clients depending on clinical interests and service requirements
- Carry out assessments, therapy planning, reviews, and clinical documentation
- Support children and young people with speech, language, communication, and social interaction needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in regular supervision, mentorship, CPD sessions, and peer support activities
- Travel between Stratford clinic sites, schools, and community visits across East London
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC and professional standards
- Build positive and professional therapeutic relationships with families, schools, and healthcare professionals
Requirements

- HCPC registration required or due to be registered by September
- Suitable for Newly Qualified and early-career Speech and Language Therapists
- Interest in school-based, SEN, clinic, and community speech and language therapy services
- Strong communication, organisation, and clinical reasoning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with clients, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently while engaging positively with supervision and support structures
