Job Description
As a Maths Teacher, you will be working within a high-performing independent school in Bristol (BS9), delivering engaging and structured mathematics lessons to students across key stages within a supportive and academically ambitious setting. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons across relevant key stages
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school standards
- Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning abilities and needs
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff
- Participate in school meetings, training, and development sessions
- Uphold safeguarding and professional teaching standards at all times
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS check or be registered on the update DBS service
- Open to early career and experienced teachers
- Strong subject knowledge within Mathematics
- Ability to deliver high-quality and engaging lessons
- Excellent communication skills with a student-centred approach
- Ability to work independently and manage teaching responsibilities effectively
