Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Permanent, full-time employment, Monday to Friday.

• Nursery opening hours are 7:30am to 6:30pm
• Work for 51 weeks of the year, excluding the week between Christmas and New Year

Job Description
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality care, learning and development experiences for children aged three months to five years in a Lightwater nursery setting. You will support children’s individual progress, plan engaging play-based activities and build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. Based in the GU18 area, the nursery offers enriching indoor spaces, dedicated outdoor provision and a holistic approach guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, responsive care that supports children’s wellbeing and development
- Plan and deliver purposeful learning experiences through guided and child-led play
- Support children’s learning, curiosity, communication and confidence
- Observe children’s interests, progress and development
- Use observations to contribute to planning and individual learning support
- Support effective key-person practice and consistent daily routines
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
- Encourage indoor and outdoor exploration, including nature-based activities
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures
- Maintain accurate observations, records and learning documentation
Essential Requirements
- You must already have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a relevant equivalent
- Experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or early years professional
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding and the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Ability to plan purposeful play and respond to children’s individual needs
- Warm, patient and communicative approach with children, families and colleagues
- Ability to work responsibly as part of a nursery team and contribute to daily practice
