Introduction:
We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of a supported living service in Manchester. This is a permanent leadership role focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred support to adults with complex needs, while ensuring strong operational performance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support adults with complex mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge.
- Ensure services are safe, well managed, and fully compliant with CQC standards, health and safety legislation, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and analyse behaviours of concern using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches.
- Provide effective supervision and leadership to staff through regular supervisions, appraisals, team meetings, and rota management.
- Complete, review, and monitor care plans on a monthly basis, ensuring clear evidence of person-centred care and service user involvement.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of PBS, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and best-interest decision-making.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
- Proven experience supervising and managing staff within health or social care settings.
- Knowledge of supporting individuals with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, and complex behaviours including self-harm.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Commitment to training, development, and maintaining best practice.
- Clear understanding of infection control responsibilities and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager or similar senior role.
- At least 12 months’ experience supporting adults with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, or complex behaviours.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary setting.
Pay & Benefits:
- £38,000 – £42,000 per annum
