We are recruiting for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a well-established residential care home in Maidstone, Kent, providing high-quality care for elderly residents. This is a senior leadership role for a confident Registered Home Manager who can drive care quality, regulatory compliance, and team performance while maintaining a warm, person-centred culture.

The Role
As the Care Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall performance of the home, ensuring outstanding care delivery, strong governance, and full compliance with CQC regulations.
You will lead and develop multidisciplinary teams including care, hospitality, activities, and administration, embedding best practice and creating an environment where residents and colleagues can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of the residential care home, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC standards, inspections, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Act as the Registered Manager, taking accountability for quality, safeguarding, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strong, visible leadership—coaching, mentoring, and developing your teams to deliver consistently high standards.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, induction, training, supervision, and performance management of staff.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, and workforce planning to meet resident needs and operational requirements.
- Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, social services, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure robust care planning, accurate documentation, and consistently high standards of person-centred care.
- Manage budgets, resources, KPIs, occupancy, and admissions to support the ongoing success of the service.
- Champion a culture of dignity, respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement across the home.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Care Home Manager / Registered Home Manager within a residential, elderly, or dementia care setting.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC compliance, inspection frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) – essential or strongly preferred.
- Confident leadership style with excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing audits, safeguarding, governance, and continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to manage budgets, staffing, occupancy, and operational performance effectively.
Pay & Benefits:
- £58,000 per annum (Care Home Manager / Registered Home Manager salary)

Working Hours
